According to a study by the India Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA), the contribution of design services to the ESDM sector grew steadily over the past few years. In spite of an increase in domestic production, the import of electronics into India continues unabated. However, that is about to change with start-ups like EDS India setting new frontiers in in-house products and designs. Working in the electronics design services domain, EDS India was established in 2015 and has already made some major contributions to `Make in India' initiative.
In the past 5 years of its operations in the electronics design services domain, EDS India has ensured to cater to every touch-point of this value chain. More than 30,000 vehicles, through 10+ vendors approved under AIS140, has EDS' tracking systems installed. The numbers reaches new heights every day. EDS is founded and guided by Mr. Santanu Roy (MD), with more than 25 years of industry experience in Project Management, Designing for Analog & Digital Circuits, Embedded Controls, Power electronics, Hardware & Software Development. Santanu started his career in 1996, working with hard core design companies. He has designed and successfully delivered various embedded hardware and software products/technologies to the global market, holding 3 international patents and 1 Indian Patent in his name. He also holds a Bachelor of Technology degree and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from Symbiosis, Pune.
